A common complaint of lakes and ponds is poor fishing. A biological system
such as a lake or pond is a complex system with many interacting factors
involved in the production of the desirable and balanced ecosystem. Fisheries
scientists have developed and adopted various types of equipment for collection
of unbiased random samples of fish. Aquatic Control biologists have modified
standard sampling techniques used by governmental organizations to reduce
the field and laboratory time, providing our clients a high quality, yet
cost effective survey. Surveys will be modified to fit the individual
requirements of your lake. The major sampling equipment utilized includes
electro-fishing boats, water quality testing equipment, sonar equipment,
and necessary laboratory equipment. We maintain a technical library for
reference and continually integrate new methods of sampling and analysis
of fish populations, providing you with "state of the art" service.
A lake survey provides a starting point for lake improvement projects.
Survey results often save our clients money by allowing cost effective,
biologically sound management procedures to be implemented. Specifications
for our fish surveys are available on request.
